Frequently asked

How do I change my daily limit?

Settings → Daily limit. Tap the big amount to type any value, or use the slider. You can change it any time — past days keep the limit they were scored against.

How do I add the widget to my Lock Screen or Home Screen?

Home Screen: press and hold an empty spot → Edit → Add Widget → search “DayCalc”. Lock Screen: press and hold the Lock Screen → Customize → tap the widget area → add DayCalc.

What do the colors mean?

Green — on track. Orange — close to your limit (85% spent). Red — over, noted quietly. Every state also shows a word and symbol, so color is never the only signal.

What is a no-spend day?

A day you deliberately spent nothing. Open History, tap a day with no entries, and mark it — it wears a green ring on your heatmap and counts in your monthly stats.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, synced privately through your own iCloud account. Voice and receipt scanning run on-device. Nothing is sent to our servers — we don’t have any.

What does DayCalc Pro include?

Lock Screen widget & Live Activity, Ask DayCalc (natural-language questions about your spending, answered on-device), and Apple Card / Cash / Savings import. One-time purchase — no subscription, ever.

Apple Card import says “Not available here”?

Import needs an iPhone with Apple Card, Apple Cash, or Savings set up in Wallet (currently US-only). Without one, the rest of DayCalc works normally.
