Privacy Policy
Effective June 4, 2026
The short version: DayCalc has no servers and collects nothing. Your data lives on
your device and in your own iCloud account. We never see it — we couldn’t even if we wanted to.
What we collect
Nothing. DayCalc does not operate servers, does not use analytics or tracking SDKs, does not
show ads, and does not transmit your data to us or to any third party.
Where your data lives
- On your device. Your entries, daily limit, and settings are stored locally.
- In your iCloud. If iCloud is enabled, your data syncs through your personal,
private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so it appears on your other devices. That storage
belongs to your Apple Account; Apple’s privacy
policy governs it, and we have no access to it.
Everything is processed on your device
- Voice logging uses on-device speech recognition. Audio never leaves your phone.
- Receipt scanning reads totals with on-device vision. Images are not stored or uploaded.
- Ask DayCalc answers questions from your own entries, computed locally.
- Apple Card / Cash / Savings import (optional, Pro) reads transactions on-device via
Apple’s FinanceKit, only after you grant permission. Transaction data is never transmitted —
DayCalc never sees your card number.
Purchases
DayCalc Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We receive no
payment details. Apple may provide us anonymized, aggregate sales reporting.
Notifications
Reminders (like the evening check-in) are scheduled locally on your device. They can be turned
off in DayCalc’s settings or iOS Settings at any time.
Deleting your data
Delete entries inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all local data; to remove
synced data as well, delete DayCalc’s data from iCloud in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud →
Manage Account Storage.
Children
DayCalc is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated
effective date. Since we collect nothing, changes would only ever narrow further or clarify wording.
